activity, as well as identify the influence of financial literacy on trading decisions taken by
individuals.By understanding the importance of financial literacy and trading activities, this
research is expected to contribute to increasing public understanding and awareness of the
importance of financial literacy in managing personal finances and making smart trading
decisions. This study uses a quantitative approach, which uses numerical measurements of
the variables discussed. To test the research hypothesis, numerical data will be collected and
analyzed using descriptive and associative statistics. The sample for this research was 55
Padang State Polytechnic AccountingDepartment students who had become stock investors
on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and carried out trading activities from April to July
2022. Respondents were required to have taken financial management and capital markets
courses. The results showed that the majority of respondents were women who entrusted
stock transactionsthrough Ajaib Sekuritas as a broker.Respondents are retail investorswith
very small initial capital and moderate competence (literacy) but have quite a high trading
activity. The results of the t-test show that financial literacy does not affect trading activity.

to explain 5% of all factors that can affect the trading activities of investors on the IDX
