Abstract

The development of information technology affects jobs that are transferred with the help of computerization. The application of information technology and information systems affects the Microfinance Institution sector. The financial recording and reporting system is still done manually at Gapoktan Tani Manunggal MFI. Manual recording systems are prone to recording errors and are difficult to detect, hampering the performance of report management and inefficient use of time. The purpose of this study is to design and build a computerized financial reporting information system that produces information on cash flow statements, profit and loss statements. This study supports the performance of microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Temanggung. The result of this research is a prototype of financial statement information system for Gapoktan Tani Manunggal MFI. As a method, system development method with prototype method and model development method with UML (Unified Modeling Language) are used. The result is an application that is used to record the financial statements of the Gapoktan Tani Manunggal MFI. The design of this financial report information system can be developed by adding a variety of other tools to support the ease for MFI managers in managing financial reports, and has more benefits for the Tani Manunggal cooperative.
