Abstract
This study aims to apply data mining-based sales forecasting in sales data processing of Ifa
Mart so that it can help Ifa Mart in forecasting sales which is used as a reference in sales
planning based on historical data owned by Ifa Mart. The results of the study show that the
results of sales forecasting for the period January 2022-May 2022 using a neural network
algorithm have forecasting results that are close to realization because the Mean Absolute
Percentage Error(MAPE) value is below 10%, which is 7.15%, while the results of predicting
the number of sales using the algorithm The least square as a whole has a Mean Absolute
Percentage Error (MAPE) range value above 20%, which is 23.45%. Therefore, forecasting
using neural network algorithms can be applied in the next period as a reference in sales
planning.
