Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of how the implementation of Project Based Learning (PBL) in the Accounting Study Program for first-year students. This research was conducted at the Politeknik Negeri Batam, Accounting Study Program. The analysis method uses a descriptive method consisting of problem formulation, data selection, data collection, design, observation, and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is that learning for first semester students of the Accounting Study Program is carried out using the project-based learning method with output in the form of service company accounting modules which are carried out by involving more than one course in one semester. PBL is carried out in three stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the monitoring and evaluation stage. In the implementation of PBL in first semester (First year), must pay attention to the level and complexity of the project.
